Chris joined Stifel in 2017 after spending over 20 years with regional and national firms, such as A.G. Edwards (2008), Wells Fargo Advisors (2008 to 2014), and Oppenheimer & Co. (2014 to 2017). Chris focuses on helping individuals, foundations, endowments, trusts, and corporations with wealth management services, including retirement and insurance planning as well as estate planning issues. 

Holding the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) certification, Chris strives to practice the Six Standards of Professional Conduct, which involve:

  • Establishing and defining the client-advisor relationship
  • Gathering client data, including goals
  • Analyzing and evaluating the client's current financial status
  • Developing and presenting strategies
  • Implementing the strategies

Chris earned a B.S. in Business Management with a Minor in Finance at North Carolina State University in Raleigh in 1997. He also holds Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 66 securities licenses as well as his life, health, and variable (including annuities and long-term care) insurance licenses.

Active in his community, Chris serves on the board of directors for the Greensboro Natural Science Center, where he is a member of the finance committee and an endowment chair. He is also an underwriter for “Men Can Cook” and contributes to Women's Resource Center of Greensboro, which is a triad nonprofit that serves women in need of support. 

Chris and his wife, Lisa, reside in Summerfield with their two children, Jackson and Braylon.
